This topic has been created by French gamers to help you understanding the functioning of the all-game and the local forum. Ayame announced you in April, 2008 that unfortunately, no updates have been planned for the English version of the game, that you can go on the French or Spanish version to take benefits from the last updates of the game. That’s a brilliant idea to move closer the different communities!
As a matter of fact, we have decided to create this information topic to accelerate the thing. Furthermore, it should be the first step to the creation of an international community of gamers around Hammerfest !
We really hope that you will find your place here and participate with us to make the Carrot Community endure, giving it an international side!

THE GAME
Short history :The French version of the game has been launched in February, 2006. It has known some huge updates during these 2 years (and we really hope it’s not finished!
)The most former gamers have started on the same version you currently play on www.hfest.net but this was a loooooooooooong time ago! The Motion Twin heard our prayers and came to visit us with upgrades in their pocket! The last one was in November, 2007 but it still gives us difficulties…
Specificities of the French version : In the current game, we have to find our way through:
More than 250 specific levels all gathered in the Adventure mode! 
There are always the 103 basic levels but parallel climes have been added. They are called “Dimensions”. You can reach them in certain levels, most of the time thanks to specific items (like Keys) that you have to find before in the game. Dimensions are represented by wood-like doors or blue rounds called Vortex. All of them have been listed here (with the number of levels they contain, the difficulty, the way-to-reach, and the points you can cumulate inside). 353 items divided into 51 families, for quests or only for fun ! All of them have a specific humoristic name (for instance, 
is called “Cass-tête”, that we could translate by Head-teaser ! 
). Only a few of them are still not present on the current version, we have to wait for the next upgrade! 
74 quests to open new horizons and get more and more motivation ! 5 game modes very specific and enthusiastic ! You may know the Adventure one, the Learning one (called “Apprentissage”) and the Soccerfest one. The two new modes are: - Time Attack (unlocked with a quest) : make the best time freezing all the fruits on a 6-levels game ! You can make the time decrease catching the small crystals! Will you master?
- Multi Coopératif (unlocked with a quest) : play with your friend on the same computer to grab specific objects and discover a new game play ! Each of the gamer controls one character: Igor or Sandy (a sandman). Will you beat Tuber?
5 additional options in the “Adventure mode” for always more pleasure !- Miroir (translate Mirror) : unlocked with a quest. Here, all the levels are turned over on a horizontal plane: right is at the left, and left is at the right! A good idea to get crazy in 5 minutes!
(also available in Multi Coopératif).- Cauchemar (translate Nightmare) : unlocked with a quest. Igor and the fruits are moving faster. Not as easy as thought…(also available in Multi Coopératif).
- Ninjutsu (translate Ninjutsu) : unlocked with a quest. Special option where you have to kill an only fruit by level, marked with an head bones above him. The perfect option to finish a game in 2 minutes!
- Explosifs instables (translate Unstable explosives) : unlocked with a quest. Maybe you will be the first one to unlock it?
- Tornade (translate Tornado) : unlocked with a quest. Igor is merely moving a little bit faster.

THE FORUMDozens of people use it every day to communicate their march in the game, to discuss the game, to help each other, to think about new techniques in advanced levels, … What about you ?
Divisions The local forum is divided into 4 different parts:
- Mises à jour (translate Updates) : “Keep aware concerning the latest news of the website !”. Exclusively reserved to administrators. Rarely upgraded!
- Caverne de l’apprenti (translate Apprentice Caverns) : « If you are lost in the Caverns, have a break here to ask your way !”. You will find here topics like FAQ or the technical support.
- Les secrets de Tuberculoz (translate Tuber’s secrets) : “Share here all the mysterious secrets of Hammerfest”. In this part, you will find numerous topics concerning rankings (as in your topic Hammerfest Top 10), discovered bugs, help websites, and so on…
- L’arbre de Wanda la Pomme (translate The tree of Wanda the Apple) : “To talk about anything but the game !”. That is the self-expression wall of the forum. You will find in particular topics concerning Artistic realizations based on the game, competitions organized by gamers between gamers, and other usual topics you’ll find on every forum.

boards. Also, I already collect the free points on 6.1 (small blue crystals) and 16.1 (Mario World). I avoid all other parallel dimensions at the moment. Tried and failed to clear the Dojo (23.1+) a few times, and once successfully retrieved the 'Rigor Dangerous' key from 55.1. I have no other keys, though have tried to get the 'passe-partout en bois' key (46.1+) a couple of times.
